How will you celebrate love this Valentine’s Day? If you’ve been following our blog recently then you’re well aware of our message to honor love by sharing it with all those around you, not just on February 14th, but everyday. It is in this spirit of raising the world’s energy of love that we’ve compiled a list of things to do this Valentine’s Day – or any day – that goes far beyond a boring box of chocolates.
_____
1. Fall in love with yourself – Take time to recognize how great you really are and then reward yourself for it! You cannot genuinely share love before you learn to love yourself and everyone needs a day to spoil themselves from time-to-time. Go ahead, indulge. You deserve it!
2. Write a love letter – It’s a lost art but a sentiment worth it’s weight in gold and then some!
3. Make a homemade dinner from scratch – Whether it’s for your significant other, friends, family or all of the above, everyone can appreciate a nice meal and good conversation in the comfort of home. (Potlucks work well, too!)
4. Ice Cream – Salivating yet? What’s more fun than trying a DIY ice cream recipe with your sweetheart or friends? There’s sure to be plenty of laughs in the making and the reward is delicious!
5. Get creative – Get together and attend a local paint night. It’s a great way to spend time with the ones you love, feed your creative needs and interact with others in your community.
6. Be encouraging – This should be a daily mantra. Remember to genuinely encourage and compliment others on a daily basis. When you make others feel good, you too will feel good. It’s all about spreading joy and love!
7. Make a photo album – You know those 1,000 memories that have gotten lost in your iPhone camera app? Print them out and share them! It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
8. Dance – Doesn’t it feel good to just dance?! Whether it’s just the two of you or a more sizable group, turn up the speakers in your living room and have some fun dancing the night away!
9. Get physical – Go ice skating or for a long walk outside; anything that gets you moving and also allows you to be present in the moment with the one your with. P.S. Kissing burns calories, too!
10. Do all things with love.
